Tx400-1800D is a highly productive direct-to-textile and sublimation transfer printer. With three types of ink available, this textile printer is capable of printing on silk, cotton, polyester, transfer paper, and other fabrics. Tx400-1800D is especially suitable for the soft signage market, as well as for sports apparel, fashion and furnishings.

Differences between direct and transfer printing

Direct printing This method enables direct printing on pretreated polyester using dye sublimation inks and post-treatment heating in order to achieve the highest quality and bright vivid colours. Transfer paper is not needed, saving costs especially when longer runs are printing. Sublimation transfer printing In dye sublimation transfer printing, the image is printed onto transfer paper. After printing, a heat press or a calendar is needed to fix the image onto the substrate. The advantage of transfer printing is the high quality and durable output for both polyester based materials and hard substrates

Uninterrupted Ink Supply System (UISS)

When a cartridge runs out, another cartridge begins supplying ink and helps prevent running out of ink. A maximum of 4L ink per colour can be loaded at one time. Ink cartridges can be changed during printing.

Inks

Three types of ink
Tx400-1800D employs high viscosity inks that are available in three types to suit the type of fabric: reactive dye ink, acid dye ink, and sublimation dye ink.

High density black printing
When printing black, the newly developed dye sublimation ink shows a far better reproduction and density, compared to the former sublimation ink. The difference can easily be seen with the naked eye.

Stable media conveyance

The Tx400-1800D textile printer features stable media conveyance for both dye sublimation and direct-to-textile printing, including:
