Mit Mimaki-nbn GmbH ist Mimaki Engineering Co., Ltd seit 1.7.2008 selbst im deutschen Markt präsent, zum Vorteil von Anwendern wie Handel. Seit Ende der 80er Jahre die ersten Mimaki Schneideplotter auf den Markt kamen, hat die nbn-Elektronik und später nbn-Industrie die Distribution für Mimaki in Deutschland exklusiv und erfolgreich auf- und ausgebaut, wobei die Zielgruppe den Produkten entsprechend hauptsächlich die Werbetechnik war. Mit dem seit ca. 2004 stark erweiterten Portfolio an LFP-Druckern und dem stetig wachsenden Geschäftsfeld Industrieprodukte, kurz IP, war eine Änderung an der klassischen Distribution vorgezeichnet. Die Übernahme der nbn Industrie GmbH war der logische Schritt, um zum einen die Marktposition der bisherigen Produktgruppen unter Beibehaltung des Prinzips 'Partner des Fachhandels' zu stärken und zum anderen um den Anforderungen industrieller Kunden, beispielsweise bei der Systemintegration, entsprechen zu können. Mimaki-nbn führt die von nbn aufgebaute erfolgreiche Distribution als 100%-Tochter von Mimaki Engineering Co., Ltd. unter der Leitung des neuen Geschäftsführers Masayoshi Koyama weiter. Die Adresse ist geblieben, die Belegschaft wurde komplett übernommen (und nach kurzer Zeit schon vergrößert) und der Vertrieb stützt sich weiterhin ausschliesslich auf autorisierte und erfahrene Stützpunkt-Partner. Soweit bleibt alles wie von nbn gewohnt. Hinzugekommen ist die direkte Kommunikation mit Mimaki/Japan, was ein großes Plus bei Reaktionszeiten, Informationsfluß und technischer Zusammenarbeit bedeutet. nbn has been one of the leading distributors in the digital printing market, founded in 1968 as a small system-house for measurement equipment. Three young engineers - Helmut Nippold - Helmut Bullinger and Nosko started with excellent products, good ideas, and a big pioneering spirit the long and successfully way of nbn Elektronik.
